Biography

William has been a cellist in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for many years, touring all over the world and playing with many great conductors. Before joining the RPO, he was a member of the orchestra of the Royal Opera House for several years. His wide musical experience also includes playing for touring ballet companies, West End shows and backing many popular artists such as Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey and Cliff Richard. He was even involved in the very popular re-mastering of tracks by Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley (deceased!)

Since moving to Folkestone in 2019, William has been delighted to take part in several chamber music concerts. Due to Covid, these have been outdoor events, which can be challenging with the unpredictable weather! He is looking forward to collaborating with Folkestone musicians on many more performances.

Apart from his musical activities, William enjoys playing tennis, cooking and trying to learn Italian.
