A DAY IN PARIS
There are three concerts (11am, 3pm and 7pm) that make up A Day in Paris, detailed below. JAM presents some of the most daring music ever written. Hark back to The Rite of Spring’s riotous first performance; be introduced to music that changed the world; indulge in a piece written for a summer evening.
A MORNING IN PARIS:
International organist Tom Bell presents Messiaen’s inspiration and music.
AN AFTERNOON in PARIS:
A rare performance of the original version of Stravinksy’s The Rite of Spring, a masterpiece for 4-hand piano.
AN EVENING in PARIS:
JAM Sinfonia and Hanna Hipp perform works by legendary French composers, conducted by Festival Curator, Nicholas Cleobury.
