Course
The Brook Street Band presents its first chamber music and masterclasses weekend, part of its love: Handel festival.
They have chosen the peaceful, retreat-like and stunning setting of St. Margaret’s Bay located on the beautiful Kent coast for their weekend course, where one can enjoy the stimulating and creative environment at Pines Calyx, an award-winning eco building, set in peaceful gardens with sea views.
The course takes place over two days (Sat & Sun), with flute, recorder and continuo (in this instance, cello and harpsichord) masterclasses, chamber music for strings and woodwind, and a Brook Street Band concert given by course tutors Lisete da Silva Bull (flute/recorder), Tatty Theo (cello) and Carolyn Gibley (harpsichord).
They can accommodate performers at both baroque and modern pitches, A=415 and A=440, and require everyone to have reached a minimum standard of grade 7+
