Local string teachers Flo Peycelon, Ellen O’Dell and members of the Sacconi Quartet kick off the Young Strings Project with the first set of coaching classes. Over 20 young string players are involved in the project which will culminate in performances of specially written string quartets, from eminent (and local) composer John Woolrich, later in the year.

COVID Protocol – At this first session masks must be worn by all participants inside the Quarterhouse and social-distancing will be maintained. There will be Track and Trace sign-in sheets at the entrance for everyone to fill in.

What to bring – Please bring music stands and your own refreshments. Parents are welcome to stay and observe the sessions.

Photos – We will be seeking everyone’s permission before taking photos and/or video during the course of the project.
